Donvale Bowls Club Inc.

The club is located on the site of the White family orchard. The White home was used as the original clubhouse.

 After many months of hard work by a dedicated group of foundation members, led by President Peter Sellers, the grass green was officially opened on Saturday 27th August 1988 by the then Doncaster-Templestowe Mayor Cr. Bill Larkin.

 The first pennant teams were entered in the 1988/89 season. The Mens Section, under President Harold Read, entered teams in divisions 8 and 12. The Ladies Section, under President Maureen Goode, entered a team in division E1. The first game of pennant on the green was played on Tuesday 27th September 1988.

 A new pavilion with modern facilities was officially opened on Saturday 22nd November 1992 and the old farm house demolished.

To allow the club to provide year round bowling a new artificial green was opened on Sunday 5th March 1995. At the time this was the only artificial green in the district.

 June 2000 the upper car park was sealed and lighting installed.

During the winter of 2006 the old artificial green was replaced and a new base and drainage installed. The grass green has been successfully refurbished during the summers of 2006 and 2007 providing a full grass cover and an excellent surface.
